!Khwa ttu Tour
A Celebration of San Culture, past and present, with a mandate to:
- Restore and display San heritage, culture, folklore, visual arts, cosmology and languages
- Educate the general public about the world of the San
- Provide training to the San in literacy, entrepreneurship, tourism, health issues, community development, craft production/marketing and gender awareness.
Itinerary
- We will collect you from your accommodation and transport you through Blouberg and along the R27.
- After about one hour’s drive we arrive at !Khwa ttu where you will be given a two hour guided tour of the San Culture. They will show you how they track animals; medicinal plants and village life.
- After the tour you can watch an audio visual and view the gallery shop for gifts with a San theme. We can have lunch at their restaurant which has a very respectable menu.
- A pleasant drive back to your accommodation with wonderful views and photo opportunities of Table Mountain.
Price
The cost for 2 people for this trip is R1940 (including entrance fees). Additional supplement for 1 or 2 extra passengers is R220 each. Lunch is for clients own account.
Note that !Khwa tutu closes for its annual break from mid June to mid July.
The tour can be extended by visiting the West Coast National park (entrance fee optional) especially during the wild flower season.
